What do you think of a light grayish blue wall for a girls room? If anyone has done this, can you recommend a good color?
Also, have any of you used wall decals? Do they look nice or does it look like a big sticker? I haven't seen any in person. |

First Snowfall (1618) by Benjamin Moore. I had our nursery painted this color not knowing the gender and it's perfect! Sometimes it's blueish gray and other times it's like a pale shade of violet.
I had bedding made by JavisDavis.com in the cottontail toile pattern and it matches perfectly! Fwiw, blue has historically been for girls and red was for boys. |
| Pp here. That was supposed to be #1618 |
| Thanks! I will look at that today. I appreciate it. |

We didn't know what we were having, and painted blue as well. My plan had been that if DC had been a girl, we would have accented with a pink rug and some other accesories.
I have seen robin's eggshell blue in a number of girls' rooms -also very pretty. And i like the sound of PP's blue. |
| We did blue as well for our nursery - actually the room was already blue and we didn't change it. Worked lovely for a little girl matched with pinks and purples. Then when we moved house our DD chose blue herself! |
You may want to look at Farrow and Ball colors. They have some beautiful grays/blues. By the way, DD's favorite color is blue...and I don't see anything wrong with that

| Wall decals are fabulous! We bought a few off etsy from Simple Shapes and another vendor whose name I can't remember right now. They're awesome! They looks great, were easy and fun to put up, and let non-artsy people like my DH and I have a creative looking, cute nursery. |
| Love that etsy site - I had not heard of it before. Thanks! |
| I used the dotted decals from Giggle -- their animals stickers are really cute too -- on a blue wall and it looks really cute. |
| Our room is blue (two girls) and we have wall stickers all over. Both Seasons by Wallcandy and another flower form some other brand. Love them! |
| Check out the blue at PBK in White Flint in the girls section near the front of the store where they had it painted with a wave design on top --- it's a Benjamin Moore Color --- they have it labelled on the wall. Beautiful! |
| We used Farrow & Ball's Borrowed Light for our daughter's room and love it. We even used a "boy" blue toile for the crib skirt, then brought in some pale greens and pinks in the curtains, mobile, etc. It's such a calming space; I love spending time in there with her. |

I also got wall decals from etsy for the nursery & were so happy with how they looked, we got some for another room in our house that we had a blank wall we wanted something on.

| We used a light bluish-green-gray. Get SO many compliments and it's so calming, plus it looks great with the rest of the house. I just couldn't do the pink thing for the house, even though I'm not opposed to pink (and dress my DD in pink a lot). |
