I'm not sure how this will change the boys side. The BRYC boys teams are better than the VYS boys teams. This partnership was done for the bryc girls teams. Although unless more talent goes to this partnership, the ECNL teams will continue to struggle.

What is your reaction to the merger? Do you feel this is a good thing for BRYC and your boys team? Will you be looking for a new club for next season?
Top players will like the merger because it will ultimately improve the team. Take the best from BRYC and take the best from Vienna will result in a better team. The subs won't be happy and some will leave or will just not make the team next year.
I don't see how this hurts either club if your goal is to try and build a club that is at the top if its league.

For now, it appears they're just trying to achieve critical mass to support the facility overhead and keep their heads above water. It's not clear how a merger/acquisition of a club in Winchester does that though. I suppose it's much harder to bring in residents east of Evergreen than west.
Longer term, they will have no choice but to go the old fashioned route of simply providing a better service than the competition provides. All they have to do is provide a better service than FCV and Loudoun. They will also eventually need the golden ticket admitting them to one of the elite level leagues to attract talent.
