Good point. But, ECNL-R offers a pathway to ECNL which has higher end competition. CCL is capped within their league.
Here is a link to their site and a graphic that shows the clubs. Looks like some of the stronger clubs only have their B teams in the CCL now.

Well, the CCL has finally posted their plans.Looks like there is now only one competition level and the state has been divided into three regions. A few of the lower level teams remain and several lower end teams such as Valley AFC in Roanoke have made it in.

Fortunately, many of the better clubs that have left the CCL will be reunited in the ECNL-R as many have been acceprted.

Best of luck to the remaining and new CCl clubs.
I noticed that CCL FL, CCL GA, CCL NE have been removed from the CLL website.
If CCL had a great plan, I would think they would be marketing it.
CCl Facebook page says there is a BIG Announcement today???

We shall see...
Each age bracket (U12-U19) had several competition levels with 6-8 teams in each level. The Super Group was the highest competition level in each age. The SG had teams from Alaska, Florida, New York, Virginia, Maryland, etc. From my research, all of the teams in this level were fairly competitive within their respective leagues. The tournament included many teams from clubs outside of the CCL, some of them traveling quite far to play.
Im new to this site and topic. I found it via google search for CCl ECNL Merge.

I was at the Adidas National Cup this weekend where my son's team was playing in the "Super Group". At the event there were a lot of National League Alliance signs, so it is obvious that the CCl is now affiliated with the NLA. However, I also heard a lot of "rumors" about the CCL going into the ECNL-R. I overheard the coach of a team saying that because of their standing in the CCL, they would be going to a USCS tournament, and if placed there they would go on to the USCS regional. He referenced it as a "New Development" in the CCL.

Any thoughts?
