I have been a bunch of time. I’m sure that they have child interfaces but I didn’t look for them because I wasn’t with my daughter. However, I would say 10-12 because there is so much great history focused on great areas of interest - the military, economics and wealth, emmitt TIL, and pop culture. The museum also takes longer that a day to view so I would try to break it up and have a plan if you want to keep your kids focused and see specific exhibits

Spend time in the basement. The museum is curated to be viewed from the lowest to highest levels.

Not all plantations had slaves, you know.

I’m AA and it makes me uncomfortable but also grateful that a poster (who I assume is white is conscious enough and seems to be empathic towards other people experiences).

I wonder how you would know whether a plantation had slaves? Even if they all didn’t, I always side eye couples who choose to marry on them and I would not go to one unless I was touring a converted historical site meant to honor the lives that were ruined.

Thanks OP
Only on page 4 but these post are terrible... SJC send students to top 15 colleges and majority to top 30. They are also a diverse school who's students are legacy at non-traditional schools (HBCUs). This is the same for DeMatha. SJC has invested a lot into their sports programs and there is no denying that. However, they have also invested a lot into technology and have a strong honors program and Benilde program. I doubt that the school's model is moving to IMG (whatever that is) because they value education and technology. When I was there, the founder of AOL, who was an alum, donated a computer lab. They have been building with strong alum for over a decade.

I am an alum

Hi,

I need a camp in Silver Spring (or the immediate area, including NW DC). Child will be 3 in March 2020. Ideally, the hours are 8-6p or they have aftercare.

She loves swimming and dancing, and attends Montessori school.

Are there any recommendations?

Please help
Hi, I am new here. I am an engineer working in DoD with focus in Quality Assurance.

Ready to leave DoD but there is one major issue. I am a single mommy and need the income that my career affords me. However, I have a toddler and I am looking for more flexibility and no more commute to AA county from Mont county.

Does anyone have recommendations on transitioning out of DoD into another industry? or pivoting to another area in QA? Ideal state is work from home of course, but I will take anything in Montgomery county or DC.
