Don't know if this is too late. I have only visited one of these, the Cherry Blossom Day Care. I walked away very sad because by and large the children seemed very reserved and timid. My husband and I have been visiting a number of facilities and this is the first one where the children have been obviously cautious and almost untrusting. Perhaps it was just a bad day to go on, so make your own decision. Just wanted to provide my perspective.

There are over 700 members and it is a fantastic organization. It was a Mom's group but grew so large that it had to go off on it's own. I joined when my child was 4 months and it has been a godsend. I've met so many wonderful people. If you are in S. Arlington there is definitely a Mom's group.
Once the weather gets better you will meet tons of mom's at the parks. Arlington has so many great parks. Good luck! I faced the same feelings as you but things do get better!
I have been trying to contact MONA moms for the last month, since I mailed in my application and fee. They have not returned any of my e-mails. Does anyone know whether this is a common occurrence or if the organization is still accepting members. I was surprised and disappointed because someone recommended them to me and it seemed like a great organization. This experience has certainly dampened my enthusiasm for the group. I hope things turn around though...
