Does anybody have any experience with MHBP HDHP? I have a wife and 1 baby and have been satisfied with GEHA HDHP for 2020 and 2021. The MHBP employer HSA contribution for 2022 is $2,400 vs GEHA contribution of $1,800. I did the OPM FEHB comparison already and it looks close to me. Wonder if $600 more a year HSA contribution annually is worth switching for 2022. If anybody has any experience with MHBP HDHP please let us know of your experience. Thanks in advance!

The SEC is primarily accountants and attorneys and we don't get a lot of laterals so I'm not sure how it would work for a lateral. Most of the accountants come from Big 4 or in-house and most attorneys come from large law firms with a small contingent being hired straight out of law school. I don't recall anyone ever asking to telework before hitting the one year mark.

The rule used to be that one's probationary status was one factor for a manager to consider when allowing telework but in the last two years it seems to have morphed into telework not being allowed until after one year.


Okay, thanks for the feedback.... This gives me a more realistic view of how telework is given at the SEC. The article seems to make it much generous that when it actually is. Thank you for everybody's comments and feedback.

I was reading the article below and I am considering a job there.

Does anybody know if it is common that SEC workers telework 4 or 5 days a week? The article says the option to "apply" so it means the supervisor has to approve what is the likelihood of this? Any insight would be appreciated.

yes what insurance to get for pregnancy and dental work such as wisdom teeth extraction.
I am a new federal employee and my wife and I live in MD and are planning to have a baby. My wife will need some dental work done like wisdom teeth pulls. Any advice will be appreciated.
