I would like to use a birthing/yoga/exercise ball during labor & delivery. Has anyone used a ball during labor & delivery? Do you plan to? I am so overwhelmed about which one to buy. Any idea on particular brands (or features) that are best?
It is such a relief to hear these positive VBAC stories re: Georgetown. Dr. Maynard has been very supportive so far with my decision to try for a VBAC. I had been skeptical though because of all the things I read on the internet. Thanks for the encouragement!
23:41, what G-town doctor delivered your little one? I am seeing Dr. Maynard, but I know that it is likely he will not be delivering my child since I could end up with anyone in the practice.
I realize that I have been very fortunate. Hang in there! 4 cycles is not that long though I know waiting makes it seem like forever - I did not wait once we started trying for our 2nd child, but we did have to wait for over a year after I was emotionally ready to conceive to start trying (for financial & career reasons) which seemed like an eternity.
I was just checking out DC Birthing Hands' website and noticed that they mentioned generally insurance reimbursement for doula services. I plan to check with my insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield, ahead of time. Out of curiousity though, did you seek insurance reimbursement for doula services? What was the outcome? Thanks!
I plan to deliver at Georgetown and am hoping to have a VBAC. I would also like to hire a doula and am very interested in Claudia Booker (Birthing Hands DC). Has anyone used a doula at Georgetown? What was your experience?
