I will look that up,
anyone else?
Thanks for all the answers! I'll look into that,

By the way, what's "a parents' listserv "?
Hi - My husband, 9-month old girl, and I just moved from Canada to D.C. We are currently trying to find day care (including family-run daycare or nanny sharing) options for our daughter. We work 8h/day jobs but we have a lot of flexibility on the hours and we could do with part-time options. We both work downtown but figured it would be easier to have a place close to home. We are ok with Spanish or French speaking environments (and English of course).
Recommendations are welcomed (or any tips on how to make our search more efficient)!
Thanks!
Where can I find second hand (but still in good condition!) baby toys and baby furniture (ex. : crib, changing mat, high chair)? Do you have more specific suggestion than Craigslist?
Thanks!
Thanks all for your answers! It’s much appreciated!

I’m keeping in mind the websites you suggested, as well as the neighborhoods you mentioned.

We are moving from Canada (Quebec City), and plan to arrive late August. We wouldn’t need a place for baby right away but hopefully by the end of September.

We are having another question: bring the car or not. We are, in fact, planning on bringing it, any cons?
Thanks for your answer!
We will definitely check out the row houses option. About Capitol Hill, from what we saw so far it seems a little more expensive than elsewhere, just a coincidence in the ads we saw?
Nanny sharing: I read it was very complex to arrange and, in the end, no so convenient.... I guess I was wrongly informed. Would you suggest a web site to pre-arrange?
