Where can I find second hand (but still in good condition!) baby toys and baby furniture (ex. : crib, changing mat, high chair)? Do you have more specific suggestion than Craigslist?
Thanks! |
We're coming into consignment season. I'd look for the various consignment sales being put on by local mom's clubs and such.

Yep-- totswap.net
We live in the NW, Adams Morgan/C. Heights.
Consignment sales I don't think are really worth it. Most of the ones I have been to you have to be there really really early and like literally run to the section with the "big" items you're searching. Craigslist requires more stalking, but less energy.
Kid to kid in Rockville.
Does your neighborhood have a parents' listserv? If so those are great.

Can't speak to good used toys, as we've only purchased a few at consignment sales. These sales have been better for second hand children's books.
W/r/t furniture, Craiglist has been great. I bought several used Pottery Barn Kids pieces there (e.g., changing table/dressing station, glider, rocking chair, magazine rack, shelves, bed frames and desk w/ chair) all in good condition for a fraction of the price. |
Twin mom clubs in the area. Great bargains!
we have gotten good toys at wiggle room in bethesda (metro accessible) and also at kid to kid.

Thanks for all the answers! I'll look into that,
