And if anyone wants, here's the FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bridges-Public-Charter-School/134161169991984?rf=320293827985276 and the link to the yahoo school-wide list-serv that's posted seems to be incorrect. Does someone have it already?
Thank you! I would still like to have a little PK3 specific playdate, or series of playdates too (thinking we can suggest saturday or sunday 10-11 at Taylor Street Rec Center or Upshur Rec Center and we find one another level of informal.
Hi - trying to make a Google group so we can all be in touch and have a few playground playdates before the start of the school year!

https://groups.google.com/d/forum/bridges-charter-school-pk3-2014-2015

Should work this way: open the page, click join this group. If it's a bust, be kind! I'll try to fix it, or I'm happy to hand it over...

Thanks!

I think it's kind of appalling that the fireworks are allowed to go on for as long, as late and as dangerous as they were. True, my young kids were freaked out and kept awake until quite late (they lived the first years of their lives in freaking Brooklyn so me thinks they count as city kids). Maybe cops can stop turning a blind eye to the law after, say, midnight? Beyond being obnoxious, it's also dangerous.

If you could tie setting off fireworks late at night to say, voting or enlisting in armed services or other noble civic actions, I'd be happy for my family to give up sleep, but I doubt there is any correlation between the two. Or maybe even a negative correlation. Perhaps I can get a grant to study this and we can change the culture with some cold hard data in hand (said in jest)
Anyone whose kid is going to Bridges to start in PK3 want to get the little ones together? Just an easy playground playdate for whomever can make it?

There is indeed at least one spot: our child got a spot in the lottery that we're taking, even though we paid a deposit to reserve a spot for next year. Do get in touch if you need the place for your 3/4 year old!
