I am looking for a good piano teacher who teaches piano using solfege on the Maryland side. Do they exist?
My 4 year old DS has been potty trained for OVER A YEAR without any accident; however, he refuses to use the big toilet for poop. I tried to transition at his own pace while encouraging him, but he would always pick the potty chair, and he even promised me that he would start using the big toilet after he turns 4. Well, he turned 4 and he never made good of the promise. I am very sick and tired of cleaning his potty chair and told him so, so he started to try to clean his potty chair, which made me feel even more nervous because he'd make a mess. Eww. He's used the toilet to poop a few times long time ago but I am not sure what caused the strong resistance/fear to poop in the toilet. I tried asking him why, he said he doesn't like it when the it "plops". I've tried to use toilet paper on top of the water to stop the plopping but he didn't buy it. Now he just says he doesn't like the toilet. What do I do? Am I alone here with this problem? I tried looking up on the internet and seems like most potty trained kids transition to the toilet fully very early on after being potty trained. I took the small potty chair tonight and now he's holding his poop. i hope it doesn't backfire on me... Help!
Does anyone have any experiene with either Jordan Kitt's YAMAHA group lessons and/or Music in Me classes at Academy of Fine Arts in Gaithersburg? I am trying to decide between the two classes but it's hard to when they don't seem to offer trial classes. Any inputs or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Are there any good PT Montessori Preschool (2-3days a week) in Montgomery County, preferably in Rockville/Gaithersburg/Germantown area? I looked around and they seem to be on a FT schedule.

I did re: Jefferson Montessori, and it looked pretty good to me, but my son is turning 2 in 2 weeks so he's going to be too old, I think.
I am not sure which forum to post but seems like this forum would be knowledeable.

We just moved to MD and I have been trying to find parent/child classes for my almost 2 year old son to enroll. I am finding things are a bit different here and it seems like the type of classes I want to enroll are offered to only under 24 months (by Kidville and other places) or drop-offs. The other classes I found that are parent/child are more narrow such as gym-based classes, art, and music (e.g. MoCO rec ctr, MyGym, etc.) - not what I am looking for right now (I am enrolling him in a music class already). I found Rockville Community Nursery Preschool's parent/child class, which sounded great, but it is currently full. I am hoping to find a parent/child class or playgroup that has some kind of structure/routine (such as story, music, crafts, sensory development, etc.) in a class setting (not in a gym). My son has been taking classes like this since he was 10-months old and he really seems to enjoy a routine.

Is there another preschool that offers parent/child class like RCNP? Or anything else that is similar in Gaithersburg/Rockville or nearby towns? Thanks!
