A few of us in our NW DC neighborhood are thinking of starting a co-op for little ones who are just too young for the DCPR co-op. Has anyone been through this process before? Any words of wisdom?
I just did some research, and I think my son will be just too young for the DCPR co-op cut off (he'll be 17 months in September). Does anyone know of another co-op that serves a similar age group? I'm comfortable with him starting later in the year so he's over 18 months, but with working at home part time, having access to a co-op program would be wonderful!
Hi. I'm starting to explore the DC Coop option for my son. He will be 17 months in September, so he won't be quite old enough to start when the program does. Does anyone know if they let kids enter the program as they get older and other kids move/transition out?

I actually had motor planning difficulties as a kid (and still do now to an extent). I was evaluated at 2.5 and did OT for 2 years. From what I heard, the early intervention helped make my motor planning challenges relatively minor and avoided challenges with reading, writing etc moving forward.

I had my first child with him 6 months ago and I loved him! He and his staff provide great prenatal care and he committed to helping you have the birth you want if medically possible. We wanted to have an unmedicated birth and he was supportive of it (as well as using a doula, avoiding interventions etc). He can be a bit socially awkward, but more in a nerdy way, and not a jerky way.
lil omm yoga has a good breastfeeding class. I took it with a friend when I was in my second tri and found very helpful in knowing the basics of bf-ing. They also have several classes on birthing that are helpful.
I've nominated myself to take on the renovation of our small condo kitchen. We have the new appliances and now we are on to the structure of the room. Can anyone recommend a high-quality, but affordable, contractor who can help me take on this task? \
