I'm organizing a Spanish playdate. This will basically be a bunch of 4-
6 year old kids at my house doing activities (crafts, singing, reading,
cooking, etc.). I am looking for a native Spanish speaker that will
orchestrate each playdate in Spanish and am wondering if any readers of
this list knows of such a person. It would be 1½ hours once a week for
a minimum of 4 weeks starting sometime in February. Our preference is
Friday, but this could be flexible. If you know of anyone, please email me.

Anyone ever have a 4 year old in the full day Barrie School Camp? I'd be interested in your thoughts on the school and how yoiur little person took to it.

This will be our first summer in the school system and I am at a complete loss as to what do about childcare? Can anyone recommend summer camps they've used or other alternatives accessible from Chevy Chase DC? I'd be particularly interested in something that is Spanish speaking. Thanks.

lafayette had over 30 kids on their wait list at the end of the lottery last year. by the end of the first week of school, the last kid on the list got in. we were #25 on that list and i figured there was no way we would get in, but we started on the second day of school. i suspect lots of families had already made other arrangements - no never give up hope on the waitlist...
