Senses of A Child Daycare & School is DC’s newest private learning center and school. Senses Of A Child believes in building and producing great minds. We believe children come into this world with powerful needs to discover and explore. Senses of A Child Daycare & School
Infants: Our infant classroom offers a small group size of no more than six infants at a time. All infant teachers are highly qualified and CPR/first aid certified. Our infants and toddlers are provided with love, nurturing, stimulation and a variety of activities to promote cognitive and physical development. Our infant classroom is a no shoe zone. Shoe covers are mandatory. Senses offer an open door policy. Volunteering is allowed and encouraged.
Toddler Department: Our toddler program offers an open classroom with small group sizes for children to explore and enhance their social and learning skills. Toddler classrooms have a highly qualified lead teacher and an aide at all times. Toddlers will be exposed to letter, number, shape and color recognition. Arts and crafts will be completed daily.Toddlers will be exposed to potty training and other self-help skills. Meals are included in your biweekly tuition. All meals are prepared fresh and onsite. A meal calendar will go home monthly.
Pre-K 3-4 and Kindergarten: Pre-K 3-4 and Kindergarten is an education program that offers several learning curriculums that are used to encourage diversity and individuality. Your child’s teacher will implement an approved curriculum that is appropriate and meets the developmental needs of all children.
