How much do you pay your babysitter, how many kids do you have, and how old is your babysitter?

$25 an hour. We have two kids, 1 and 3, and babysitter is 28 (and CPR certified). We also never unbothered go out until the kids are asleep. Babysitter arrives before bed so they know she’s there and she helps with one of us giving bath/shower.

$16-20 an hour. Our regular sitters vary in age (one is late 40s, one is early 20s) but no college or HS students quite yet. We have one 2-year-old.

For date nights - $15/hr. Four kids (ages 1-6) but typically they are all down within an hour of babysitter arriving, and then she just watches TV or studies for the rest of the night.

For daytime occasions (ie all four kids are awake), $20/hr. This is for high school / college kids and their only responsibility is to keep children safe (i.e., I don’t expect the sitters to cook, clean up, do activities, etc). Often I just tell the sitters to put on a movie for the kids.

Also $25 and hour for two kids 6 and almost 8. One babysitter 28 and the other early 30s (latter has been with our family in one way or another for years and years).

Major caveat is that with kids in school full time and with one relative only 30min away, we don't use babysitters often.
