What Do You Think Will Happen in November Elections?

Anonymous
I know the majority party almost always loses seats in the mid-term elections, but do you think it's going to be the bloodbath Republicans are predicting?

The Republican primaries are going to be a bloodbath as the tea baggers take over the party. Then, there will be a Republican Civil War that costs Michael Steele his job. By the time November gets here, the Democrats won't have anyone to run against.

I agree with Mr. Steele. If the Republicans do win in November then the lunatics will truly be in charge of the asylum.

I predict that all the predictions being made now will look pretty silly in November. And, just in case everyone else's comes true, I still won't be entirely wrong because this one will look pretty silly.

OP here. I feel like this is the Democrats race to lose (meaning a majority change in either house is unlikely), but they really need to stay organized the way they were during 2008 elections to do keep the win. I'm just wondering how likely that is. I think 20-something voters are key again, but they are the least likely group to come out in mid-term elections.

healthcare just KILLED the dems in November. I can't wait till 1/20/13 myself....maybe we can get our country back and actually feel like the reason we work so hard every day is not so that we can spread the wealth, but so that we can reap the benefits in our own homes.

Dream on. The Dems will lose some seats, but the numbers aren't there for a major reversal. The GOP will declare victory, but in fact they will have to go back to opposition politics.

"Repeal and Replace" epitomizes this situation. It's a great rallying cry, but they won't have the power to do the first and they STILL have no idea what they would do with the second.

What...so more conservatives can fuck up our country again, similar to the Bush administration. Are you for real?

ouch 23:45 - watch your language.
Last time I checked, BUSH HAS NOT BEEN PRESIDENT FOR A WHILE! NO-BAMA is president! At what point will you actully start to blame our current problems on the current administration? Or will the likes of you and your party continue to blame others for everything that goes wrong? That is so typical of die-hard dems. "it's not my faulty I'm poor...it's not my fault I didn't go to college....it's not my fault I did'nt pay my bills on time...it's not my fault I'm fat...it's not my fault....it's not my fault...it's not my fault....IT'S NOT OBAMA'S FAULT.....IT'S NOT OBAMA'S FAULT....IT'S NOT OBAMA'S FAULT......IT'S NOT OBAMA'S FAULT"

ADDITIONALLY, BUSH INHERITED A LOT OF PROBLEMS FROM CLINTON. YEP, IT WASNT BUSH'S FAULT!

The economy is Bush's fault.

Why is it that republicans are ok with paying over $700 million PER DAY for a war in Iraq that was started for no good reason (Bush wanted to settle a debt his dad failed to settle), but can't stand the thought of spending that money in our own country (health care)?

The last president to make serious steps towards eliminating the national debt was . . . A DEMOCRAT. Clinton.

Poor Bush. He was handicapped by inheriting record budget surpluses which he promptly turned into record budget deficits.

Then, look how Bush left this great record of creating jobs which Obama turned into job losses (actually, for the sarcasm-impaired, the opposite happened). This graphs shows job losses/gains since Jan. 2008. Note that the worst month was the last month of the Bush Administration and things immediately started improving.

The problem is not that Democrats blame Bush for everything. The problem is that Republicans don't blame Bush for anything.

Bush did plenty wrong, but a liar he is not. Going into Iraq ELMINATED a monster from this beautiful planet of ours, changed the lives of millions of people and thousands of women and girls - FOR THE BETTER! Ask any soldier who is currently putting their life on the line for all you limosine liberals.

Do you blame Clinton or Obama for anything?Tell me what you blame them for, and I will answer in kind. Till then, your approach is one sided and i will not participate.

The war in Iraq has undoubtedly cost the lives of tens of thousands of innocent people. In that regard, you are absolutely correct that their lives were changed. The current situation remains unstable and it is impossible to know whether the result will be better than what preceded. However, there is one thing that is clear and that is that the situation for women and girls is much worse. Whatever Saddam's sins, his regime strongly supported the rights of women and Iraqi women were among the most advanced in the region. Rights that were constitutionally protected such as those involving divorce have now been turned over to the mosques, leaving women with little protection.

I could spend pages listing what I didn't like about Clinton and I'm proud to say that I never once voted for him. As for Obama the most obvious criticism is that he is completely sold out to Wall Street. His economic policies are essentially being drafted by Goldman Sachs and it's puppets. That, more than anything, is likely to be his downfall.
