| I say this as a parent whose children played sports, but the girls were just casual players, so it's not like I'm against girls being sporty and active. However, some of my youngest daughters friends are only in 9th and 10th grade, have been on the all-year travel/club/training/lessons circuit, and as a result are way too muscular. The training and playing schedule has stripped them of their femininity. I don't think developing bodies ever fully recover from this; the huge calves, trunk thighs, chiseled boy-ish backs and broad shoulders are likely going to be with them for life. I can't be the only one a little troubled by this. |
| I hear that some even refuse to swoon in the presence of an attractive boy |
|
Why do you think muscles aren't feminine? Why do you think women shouldn't look visibly strong?
I would worry about overtraining damaging growing bodies; I would not worry about my daughter not looking "feminine." |
| You are a disgusting person OP. There is no such thing as a woman being "too muscular." Please evolve. |
If I knew you thought this about my daughter, I would not want her to be your daughter's friend |
| Yes, if I had girls I would put them in corsets! NO I WOULD NOT! I would let them play whatever sports they liked, just like I do my boys. |
| By masculine, do you mean they have strong, healthy bodies? |
| Wut??? |
| You are a sick b ! Tch woman |
Same here. What is our world coming to.
|
| Its not about too much training, it's their body build. I work out 4-5 times a week with heavy weights and still and a very petite woman. |
|
You sound a little creepy.
|
Agree. |
| Op, to each his own. It sounds like we have the same sense of feminine aesthetic but I recognize the muscular build is very in right now so I am not going to care about bodies other than my own. Plus, I am thinking the girls love the look (good for them) or they love the sport more than any concerns about physical aesthetics. Strength has zero negatives for either sex. If you put thoughts like this out there towards children it will cause esteem issues and that is the last thing anyone needs. |
| Why are you troubled, it's not your body. |
