Have you ever had your Uber eats order disappear from app?

I placed an order this morning, I saw it processing, I could see the driver and that he was at the restaurant. The status said the restaurant was working on the order and the eta was 5-10 minutes. Checked the app about 3 minutes later and the pending order is gone. I checked and nothing was delivered, looked in the app and it’s not showing up under “past orders”.

I get that a merchant or driver may need to cancel an order sometimes, but Uber doesent notify the customer in any way? No “order cancelled by merchant” notification? It just disappears?

Have not had this happen. When I have had orders canceled on me it always shows in the app and then I get an email too. Check to see if there is an update pending for the app. Any time the app is wonky for me it’s due to an update I need.

DP here. I had one disappear on a major holiday and was without food and any way to order elsewhere. Uber refunded me and the restaurant gave me a gift certificate for another meal.

I had my order cancelled when the driver was 5 minutes away. I had placed the order 2 hours earlier. I called Uber Eats and they told me not to worry, that they wouldn’t charge me, and to place the order again. They blamed a “glitch” in the app. They told us the food would be thrown away and the restaurant would not get paid for the order (we asked if we could go pick it up from the restaurant if it was going to be brought back).

Long story short, I’m never using Uber Eats again. Terrible customer service and totally unreliable. Also wasted perfectly good food! Shameful.

Tonight I placed an order and I saw the order processing and then it disappeared… Uber could not see the order it was like it never happens except for the money on hold in my account …. I tried to contact the store no answer I took the drive after Uber eats assured me the would be putting my money back I asked the store upon arrival if they had a record of my order she stated it was already gone but she’s pretty sure it was picked up …. This is super weird and I wonder if it was a hack some way to make the orders disappear so drivers can keep the food … like a cancel hack but yes this hap to me exactly the way you described it.

This is happening to me right now and is almost the same way except i get a message from the driver "on my way" still waiting hoping that he shows up. I took the message but its just a white screen.

Have the same issue. It said order received then driver picked the order up and then disappeared. I have a pending transaction in my account. Would I need to contact my bank or resolve issue with Uber
