I love Philly, but it is not the ideal destination in pandemic times. Too many attractions are indoors.

Family of 4, kids ages 8 & 10, late August. We like the beach, exploring big cities, Black history, quirky restaurants, and learning something new.

Definitely Cambridge,MD for quirky and good restaurants, Black history (everything from Harriet Tubman, to slave trade, to Jay-Z, I want to say, once lived there, to famous "Chitlin Tour" of entertainers), outdoors stuff (wonderful wildlife refuge). The Hyatt Cambridge has outdoor and indoor pools and small beach area.

Hands down Rehoboth Beach. It’s lovely in September. Find a house in The Pines. Bike to the North Shores Beach and Gordon’s Pond. Drive up to Lewes and explore.
