Where to get a haircut for 11-14yr olds that is not over $50?

Besides Hair Cuttery which I do not like, as they once tried to stand her up and cut her hair bluntly dry across the back. I am looking for salons that do not charge ridiculous prices to trim my tween/young tee's hair. Even Bubbles is over $50 now. Thinking of just going to get a pair of cutting shears myself. She just wants a simple trim.

I trim my girls hair myself. My stylist used to do it for $20 but started charging me full price when they turned 12. No thanks.

You could also take her to a Vietnamese barber. The nice woman who cuts my husbands hair would do it for $20.

Van's in Old Town Alexandria? I think they actually did a better job on my kid than the much more expensive Salon De Zen.

Hair cuttery just rents out spots to different stylists so each one does it differently. Same with Bubbles, which is owned by Hair cuttery.

Where do you live? I could give a recommendation for a place in south Arlington. They don’t specialize in kids but I take my kids there.

I took my “12 year old” teenager to different hairstylists for awhile. Good pricing.

JaJos in Barracks Row - its mostly guys, but pretty sure they will do a girls trim too. They just did my 2 year old and a super cute hair style as well. Everyone is $20 or $22

Sorry, we live in Rockville.

I guess I am looking for a place that shampoos, does a simple cut, and blow dries. A little more than a kid's cut location where they just spray water, quickly trim and walk out. Great idea, but she is in middle school and I am looking for middle of the road. Not the simple $20, but not $60. It doesn't seem like there are many places like this.

Don't rule out Hair Cuttery, just make an appointment with a Salon Designer. My kids, now teens always get great cuts there.

You can ask Eun at My Hair Design Zone. I'm not sure of the cut-off age for kids vs adults.

Some of the stylists at the Sola Salon locations have lower pricing for kids haircuts.
