Looking to do a long romantic weekend with DH. We have not been away in a couple years and have never been to Miami.
Looking for nice pool to relax, easy access to beach and walking distance to restaurants. Any suggestions? Bonus points if a Marriott. |

Florida just orders more refrigerated trucks for dead bodies and you want a romantic trip to Miami in hurricane season.
Wow you are a genius. If you must go. South Beach, The Continental right on the beach. The rooms are nice, boutique hotel and the staff is great. The pool area is small but none except Fountainebleau Miami are that big. Stay away from Fountainebleau overcharges, very very crowded to the point food will be a pain. Beautiful boardwalk access along the ocean. Great food. It's slightly out of the crowded spots, but you can easily walk to them or there is a local free bus that runs all along AIA. There are open-air markets, art areas to explore, and other fun things (not sure if they are open now) Eat Cuban food there are many places in the area. Marriotts are known for bed bugs in South Beach, if you must Marriott Stanton is the best of their properties there. Residence Inn gets a lot of crime. |
| I like the 1 Hotel South Beach. The pool is nice on the roof & it's beach front. Rooms are nice. Walking distance to a lot. |
| What is your budget? I like the Setai in addition to 1 Hotel. |
| The W South Beach is great and perfect for a couples weekend. |
Thanks, Karen. |
| Please wait until after the hurricane season ends and when Covid dies down. You will have a much better time. |
| If you want to do something soon, skip Miami and after Labor Day head to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. The September weather is usually great and the prices come down. Miami will be got and humid. |
Karen no just stating facts. Miami in hurricane season LOL that's genius. Miami with covid raging again that's an amazing choice to bring home the virus. I gave her choices not sure what you are complaining about. You are the ones screaming "my freedoms" "choices" "free speech". Well? |

How old are you? I found Miami tacky, dirty and way over priced if you are right on the beach. You have to watch what’s going on in town also(concerts, etc). A few times we have been down there and the police are closing roads and throwing tear gas at the 20-something crowds Maybe try Naples or Key West depending on what type of vibe you want? |

I grew up near Miami. South Beach definitely isn't quiet, but there are lots of places that try to lure you in for $50 lunches.
But I definitely wouldn't go right now. My sister is still there and COVID is absolutely raging right now. Miami in August is also just hot and gross. |
I was in South Beach this past April and would agree with this. It’s a hole. Naples is very nice, Key West can be fun. Miami Beach? No way. |

Exactly how many hurricanes have hit Miami in the last 10 years? Ever heard of travel insurance? Stop spreading your fear and paranoia. |
