But I definitely wouldn't go right now. My sister is still there and COVID is absolutely raging right now. Miami in August is also just hot and gross.

Again no different than DC in August. Would rather be on the beach in Miami in August than in DC.

The Faena was gorgeous, great for a long weekend. Restaurant there is very nice, think it is Pao

If you want romance and quiet, I don’t know if Miami is what you’re looking for, it’s none of those things during the summer. If you haven’t traveled in a long time I’m afraid you’ll be very disappointed with Miami and South beach. If you must go try Sunny isles.

Obvs we don't know you, but I spend a fair amount of time on South Beach for work and while I have found it an incredibly refreshing escape from the DC bubble, I don't really leave my hotel room after 8pm. Even the CVS is like a club.

And all of this is without considering Covid or hurricanes.

The recs for Nantucket/Vineyard sound good. Try Miami in 1Q, pre-spring break if you want to check it out.

St. Regis Bal harbour. But yes, nobody cares about covid down there.
