How did you find a good nanny who was vaccinated? Best websites, etc? I really cant use word of mouth because I dont know many people in the area :/.
No one has kids where I work either. |
We found a great nanny on a neighborhood parenting listserv. You should be able to find one in your area (and if you're in the DC area, people here can probably direct you to one). People will post "we no longer need our wonderful nanny! She's available" and we got a wonderful, experienced nanny that way. |
+1 If you are in the DC area, where? |
I'd start local - neighborhood parents' listserv, Nextdoor, neighborhood FB pages.
There are other places like broader FB groups for nannies searching or Care.com, but I've had less luck there as far as getting quality, reliable candidates. |
We hired a service to send us candidates. We just said "We're vaccinated, and you need to be also." |
North Arlington |
Nice. Which service did you use? |
We got crazy lucky on care.com after agency failure. |
Nannypoppinz... Susan is verifying covid vaccination for every nanny. |
I run a local agency and all of our candidates are vaccinated. Please let me know if you'd like to connect. |
How does one "verify" someone else's covid vaccination? |
You physically look at the vaccination card and then cross check with the entity that administered the vaccine. In our case it was a CVS that had a print out of all our nanny’s vaccines and dates. |
Interesting. I got my vaccine done at Walgreens (which I would guess operates similar to CVS) and had no idea they would give a printout like that to a third party. |
sure, thanks. What is the name of your agency? |
Ask on MONA - tons of nanny postings there. |
