It was at the metro station on the periphery grounds of the Pentagon, no?
Out of an abundance of caution, they locked down the Pentagon. Title is a bit misleading. |
OP's title made me think of pentagon city. Sometimes I forget that the actual pentagon is located in Arlington, and I live in the same zip code. |
| is the gun violence spilling out of dc now? |
| They still don’t have him. They chased him through the tunnels. Apparently he caught a train towards Maryland. |
There have been shootings at the Pentagon City mall across the street from the Pentagon before. Arlington is certainly not immune. Neither is Maryland close to DC. Not new at all. |
Eh, the title isn’t bothering me. Have you been to this station? I was so confused doing my first bus to metro transfer there because the building is right there and you walk practically right up to it to get to the metro entrance. I was very surprised we were allowed so close. |
| Same shit different day. So what else is new. |
Well since the guns come from VA and the perpetrators come from MD... |
| Very scary. People are out of control. I am so sorry for the people who were hurt AND for the people who witnessed the violence or were there and scared by it. It changes you forever. |
| I work t GW + got text alerts. Then, there was a stream of cop cars at GW Hospitals + patients were being brought in. Aren't there closer hospitals? |
| Law enforcement officer was killed. |
No, he was shot on site. |
At least one person was taken to VHC, per NBC. |
GW is pretty close to there and also has lots of experience with gunshot wounds. |
