| yes, I know we've all been there.. beach vacation coming up in 4 weeks and now I decide I need to get fit. What's the fastest way to do that in 4 weeks? (this is a serious question.) I'm not overweight, I mean I guess I could stand to lose a few pounds (3-5).. I am an active person but I don't really "work out". So, after losing A LOT of weight while b'fing, I'm now back to my pre-baby weight, but everything pretty much came back on me as flab. So what can I do in 4 weeks to firm up? I can committ to anything.. a particular eating plan (lots of protein, only good carbs???).. a particular workout regimen?... any suggestions? Thanks! |

Quite honestly, sticking to a strict Adkins diet (minimum 15 carbs per day) combined w/ daily jogging worked the best for me as a fast route to loose weight very quickly for the beach.
However, you cannot stay on Adkins for long. I generally start 2-3 weeks before going to the beach, but after the beach I go off of it. Also, this is NOT a healthy way to loose weight and keep it off. However, it is effective if you're in a crunch on time and want to loose those few extra pounds before your beach trip. |
| 30 day shred will do the trick. |
what is 30 day shred? |
May God help you if you do this, but yes, it will do the trick. |
30 minute exercise program by the bat sh*t crazy trainer on The Biggest Loser. Here it is on Amazon -- http://www.amazon.com/Jillian-Michaels-30-Day-Shred/dp/B00127RAJY -- but you can sometimes find it on On Demand for free if you have Comcast. |
| I'd hire a personal trainer. |
| I disagree with Atkins if you are exercising - people who work out need carbs. You just just choose healthy carbs - fruits and vegetables, sweet potatoes, beans. Plus, it sounds like your weight is fine, and you are looking up to tone up. I have heard the 30 day shred is great. |
| Pilates. With a good instructor. It really helps tone, especially the core. |
|
Walk a lot. At least an hour a day.
Diet: for 2-3 weeks try not to eat pasta, rice, potatoes. NO DESSERTS. Eat lots of veggies. Drink lots of plain water. |

I'm alternating 30 day shred w/ Exhale Core Fusion, plus walking the dog in the morning. The 30 Day Shred helps burn some extra calories (fat) and strengthens. The Core Fusion tones and stretches.
My experience was in 3 weeks I had a lot less jiggle. My core and legs were also in great shape for skiing last week. I find that limiting white carbs, artificial sugars, salts help with eliminating any bloat, too. |
| I got a flat stomach for the first time ever by doing pilates in the morning when I woke up and then jogging at night for about 30 minutes. |

30 Day Shred is awesome! I'm fairly fit and that seriously changed my body fast without any major changes to my diet. Combine that with jogging and you'll be all set.

NP here. Question for the 30 day shred folks. Do you just do the same one (Level 1) every day for 30 days? Does that get monotonous? Also, aren't we supposed to mix up exercises to get the most benefit?
I do 30 day shred a few days a week but am starting to jog on my off days. I am wondering if I should just try doing a solid 30 days of the Level 1 video on Demand for better benefits. My problem is that the more I exercise, the more I eat. I need to work the diet part in better! |

I'm the 17:17 poster from yesterday. I alternate between levels 2 and 3 of the 30 day shred. Level 1 bothered my joints more, even though it is supposedly easier. So I might do level 2 on Monday and Friday, Level 3 on Wednesday and do the Cure Fusion on Tuesday and Thursday.
I can't stand to do exercise videos when anyone else is awake, and I am not getting up at 5:30 on weekends, so I only workout M-F. |
