LCPS mask policy still not finalized

Anonymous
As per this e-mail from the new superintendent:

Dear LCPS Community,

Earlier today, a local media outlet shared erroneous information regarding COVID-mitigation protocols Loudoun County Public Schools will be following when we return to school. I wanted to set the record straight about masking expectations for the fall.

The guidance regarding masks in school has not been finalized. The CDC and the Virginia Department of Health have not yet issued updated guidelines for the fall semester. Additional information for guidance on masks for staff and students will be provided from the Superintendent’s office once it becomes available.

The safety and security of students and staff is LCPS’ top priority. We regret any confusion this report caused and will be sure to communicate in a timely manner when masking guidance is finalized.

Best wishes,

Scott A. Ziegler, Ed.D.

School doesn’t start for a month. It’s fine.

CDC updated today and is agreeing with AAP on masks so I have warned my kids they will very likely be masked.

I told my kids to expect masks and be happy they get to go back to school.

That’s what us normal well adjusted parents will do. It’s disappointing but it was also inevitable. The CRT people are going to be confused as hell when they show up to the first meeting in august. Are they fighting CRT now or masks? Which one is indoctrination?

Oh they will definitely fight both, and transgendered bathrooms. They will be busy for sure!

Oh yeah forgot about the bathrooms. And only 6000 more signatures to make the imaginary recalls happen!

First PP here. I know I should leave the FB group but I just can’t look away from that train wreck! I joined way back last summer to support hybrid learning. It has sure taken a turn!

I'll never forget when they started kicking out people because they didn't support Pence. It was pretty clear what their agenda was.

It's pretty clear what they will decide. The only thing holding them back is that it might cost votes in the governor's race.

As for recalls, the max signatures needed is just 2000 for the at large, the rest are well below a thousand. One has already gotten the required number of signatures, the other is close and probably has by now.

The signatures don’t mean anything. Then Ian’s PAC turns them over to a judge who will throw out the petition because there’s no actual negligence or wrongdoing. The whole goal was for Ian to get attention for his own political gain. People were duped. Hope they had fun canvassing useless signatures for 6 months.

That might be the case in Fairfax, but they have an actual legal violation on the petition.

What, the using email for private business thing? Please. A judge wouldn’t advance a recall petition for a dude with some legitimate charges of using money inappropriately. This recall is going NOWHERE

Back to the original topic, everyone thinks they will require masks, right? (I want them to until the vaccine for kids is approved.)

Thanks.
