Masks or not, I'll accept whatever it takes to return to the classroom full time with in-person instruction. We CANNOT have another year of distance "learning". |
I’m a teacher. 100%. |
By approved, do you mean emergency use, or FDA approval? |
I’m the pp and I mean EUA. I’d take my 10 yo tomorrow if I didn’t have to lie. |
Mine do not care at all. They are just excited for the school year to (hopefully) start normally. |
Except it won’t be totally normal. No recess with other classes, lunch will be weird, no assemblies, PE and music will likely be modified, no parents allowed at school, no parties, no end of the year events, etc. This is now the third year of school being affected by this, thanks to jerks who won’t get vaccinated. |
I wish they would stop acting like the crowd (people from other counties and a few who homeschool so what does it matter to them?) can dictate how things are going to run.
They will have masks, Fairfax, Montgomery, and a few other counties already said it will, you can count on Loudoun to follow. |
Well, it's finalized now. Everyone needs to wear masks. They still don't address the lunch room situation with full schools. They really need to come up with a plan for that because that is where everyone will catch and pass it on to each other. |
I expect it to be kind of how it was this past year when they allowed in-person schooling. Elementary - lunches were brought into classrooms & consumed there with everyone spaced out as best as possible Middle school - students who were buying lunch allowed to go to the cafeteria to get food & lunches consumed in classrooms with some in the lunchroom; certain tables/desks blocked off during lunch (note: I didn't have a MS, so this was hearsay from my neighbor with a MS) High school - my kid reported that his school relaxed the "only seniors get to eat outside" rule and let everyone who wanted to eat outside go out; lunchroom was open with certain tables blocked off; classrooms were used with certain rows blocked off |
I don't care. Whatever it takes to get students and teachers back in school is fine with me. |
Our Loudoun ES and MS had everyone eating in the cafeteria all year (that school was open.) |
Superintendent sent out an order of masks for everyone. |
