Epstein Files

It’s so easy to miss things that I went back to dig this out again so we could talk about it… What do people think about this?

I only vaguely remembered the incident and had NO idea of the (extremely suspicious) Epstein tie. Looked up the judge on Wiki, and it said the perpetrator was someone who had lost a case before the judge and was a militant anti-feminist type. So it doesn’t seem strange that he would have committed an unexplainable crime. But the situation looks different for sure once you know that the judge was assigned to an investigation of Epstein’s finances.

Another relevant and important point is the compromised media misrepresented the facts.

Why isn't Trump doing this? Why is Trump only redacting his name?

WE ALL UNDERSTAND TRUMP IS A RAPIST. BILL LIKELY IS TOO, AND HILLARY - DESPITE TODAY’S STATEMENT - WAS COOL WITH GHISLANE AT CHELSEA’S WEDDING.

Her legacy and her daughter's are tied to that ship. She had numerous times to cut her losses and bail, although that would've meant not being senator or sec state. They sink or sail together.

Indeed. It's the reason she lost the Presidency. It's also the reason she rose to prominence in the first place, since despite great talent and intelligence, no woman of her time could climb up the political ranks easily without being married to a prominent politician.

I see her as an emblem of the glass ceiling, and the personal and moral sacrifices women of her time had to make if they wanted a seat at the table.

This, thank you.

The “good liberal girl” obsession with exonerating the Clintons and asking buh buh buh howcome you like that Trump is a pedo - they cannot learn. They cannot alter their framework about anything. They can’t take in information.

I have an understanding I never had as a GenX woman regarding how power operates and I am devastated that this is the world my DD will live in for all of our lives. The architects, beneficiaries, and silent observers of the most grotesque acts of abuse are equally unforgivable if not legally equally culpable of specific cruelties. The lack of large-scale denouncement of Ivy-credentialed professors, of the language of supremacy, and of the governmental failure to appoint special masters to organize and explicate the material is damning. The failure to provide consistent, buildable coverage by the big networks, the NYT and the WaPo are part of an obvious choice to let the victims and those who always believed them still be reduced to conspiracists.

My political awakening is, I hope, similar to others here. This is a rupture, a marking of then and the future. We cannot be “regular” Democrats without being fully complicit with these crimes. The republicans are lost, and we have to accept that too, and prosecute and document everything possible.

I'm an old lady. As a teen, my dad would not allow me to wait tables because he had seen how some men treated them.

I don't think your DD has anything to worry about. i think the girls who fell prey to Epstein did not have the family support you likely give. but money talks. That was the way Epstein pulled them into his circle. And, it would appear that some families turned a blind eye.

Same here. My parents were so strict about sleepovers and trips with other families and all kinds of things that could have brought me into contact with abuse. I used to be so mad at them but now I understand.

Your favorite president raped a 13 year old and a 14 year old. When are you going to get over the Clintons and your obsession with liberal women? Are you ok with rape?

I may be wrong, but I don't think PP is condoning anything of that nature. The political forum is rotten because people like you tend to categorize people in two camps and attack everyone they think is on the side opposite to theirs. There are lots of us who just don't want to rah-rah support any particular politician. They've all made ethical compromises to be where they are. The discussion should center around the degree to which they've done so. Take Massie, for instance. He's the one, not too long ago, who posted a Christmas pic with all his kids holding firearms, days after that school shooting in Michigan which left 4 students dead. And yet he's taking the lead on exposing perps in the Epstein files.

Politicians are complex humans - they're beholden to certain interest groups and not others, and willing to go out on limbs for certain values while sweeping other values under the rug. Our job is not to have favorite politicians. It's to be as wide awake as we can and follow the money. It always explains people's actions...

I’m PP and this is exactly what I’m saying. I am so tired of being attacked.

This page of the thread has a post regarding Epstein and George Mitchell, a man I admired as helping forge the Good Friday accord. Virginia Giuffre and possibly other women identified him as someone who they were forced to sleep with by Epstein.

I hate Trump but I have a growing deep hatred for the kind of posters who repeatedly accuse me of being MAGA because I REFUSE, as someone who has voted for both Clintons multiple times (her as Senator), to exonerate them or George Mitchell over their ties to this predation.

Exonerate?

What exactly do you want from the Clintons? They aren’t in any public office. They don’t have big jobs. At this point they are rich old people. If they’ve committed a crime, they should be charged. If they’re associated with Epstein they should lose board positions and speaker gigs.

But let’s use our big brains for a minute.

If the Clintons had more damning material in the files, don’t you think the justice department would release it by now?

Why would the House oversight committee drag Hillary Clinton in right now when she made it clear she had absolutely nothing to say? Why didn’t they make it public?

The cover-up is bigger than the crime. The department of justice is clearly covering up evidence of Trump’s wrongdoing. The Clintons are largely a distraction and don’t seem to be at the nexus of Epstein’s associates.

Clinton Foundation money

Epstein had huge portrait of WJC in Monica style dress. Why?

Ghislaine was guest at Chelsea's wedding. Why? At 5he time, it was widely reported that Chelsea's only wanted people she knew at the wedding.

Ok, so find some crimes so that they can be investigated. In the meantime we can investigate the files that have been released. This means Trump and his pedo bros testifying.

Release the files so that we can see who to punish.

I hope Hillary got some satisfaction from coming out of there and announcing how ridiculous it was. They repeated the same questions about a man she never met. Then asked about Pizzagate and UFOs. Absolutely ridiculous. I don’t even know how any maga is justifying dragging her into this. All this did was get more people talking about Melania’s connection to Epstein, which is something that had not been talked about enough.
