What do you think of this skirt? Is it too young for a 43 year old?

| I don't think it's necessarily too young, but I do think the large print would not be flattering unless you are very thin. I love their prints but usually keep them up top! |
I agree with this. Sorry. |

I don't think it is "too young"; in fact, that is why I love Boden. Their clothes are stylish but not too young looking.
As for your skirt, I think it is cute. Boden cuts are very flattering. I like the large print but agree that it could possibly be unflattering if you are not thin. |

I can't imagine wearing a skirt that narrow because i'm so pear shaped. But i like it on the model.
I'm 48, slender but with ugly knees and a size 4 in womens sizes. Is this dress going to work for me? I have no women friends to shop for anymore!!! Would i order a size 4? http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Womens-Dresses/Below-Knee-Dresses/WH182/Womens-Amalfi-Dress.html?NavGroupID=4 |
| The print is gorgeous -- it is quite high waisted. Do you wear a high waist? it looks great in the photo - very flattering and fun. Good luck! I actually have a high-waisted summer dress i bought from the speigel catalog years ago and i still love it - but the skirt part is flow-ier. |

I just bought this dress from Boden
http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Womens-Tunics-Kaftans/WA254/Womens-Printed-Tunic.html While I am skinny and wear a size 4 I had to return it for a 6. It was very narrow in the hips. |
| Although I like it - I think it makes even the model look fat. That is usually a warning to me! Although if you are tall and a size 4 you should be able to pull it off as well. |
| NP here, wow, all your comments really surprise me. I think the skirt is great and i don't see any problem with wearing patterns on a skirt. honestly i think pencil skirts are very slimming. |
ok, i just looked at it again and realized it wasn't a pencil skirt. it looked like one in the first picture. i'd like it more as a pencil skirt. |

ok size 4 pear shape here again. would this be better for me?

| Read the reviews on Boden - they are usually spot on. |
| I think it's nice and totally not too young for a 43 year old. Just pair it with a plain top. |
| I think the skirt is cute. And I do not mind the pattern! |
No, I liked the first one better for you. This one would look matronly on anyone who hasn't been a mere slip of a girl in recent memory. When I was in college in the early '90s we called these "granny dresses" and loved them. Now that my generation is moving farther from college girl and acknowledging that we're eventually approaching granny, it would just be a mom dress, and not a chic mom dress. I did like your first suggestion, though. |
