| Anyone know if NCSL will stick with the maximum 16 player roster size for U11-U12 for the upcoming season? |
| why wouldn't they |
It was increased to 16 players bc of Covid |
| I heard they are going back to single game limit per player per day again. |
| 16 players on a roster for 9 v 9 soccer is horrible. No play time for the bottom half. |
Can anyone confirm this? |
| U11-U12 was at 16 before covid. |
The bottom half should treat every practice like its a game. |
This is not true. COVID rules in full effect. |
The league follows USYS rules, which (Rule 205) says 11/12U may not have more than 16 players on its roster. |
| NCSL is also allowing unlimited guest play again this year. The talk was it would go back to 1 game per day. They decided to stay with the unlimited pass again. |
Curious - how do you know this? Is this reflected on the NCSL web site yet? |
Yes look at the Refs cheat sheet page. |
NP. Was this the rule last year? I can’t find it anywhere. Our club followed the one team per day rule. The NCSL rules still show one team per day (page 14), and I can’t find a referee cheat sheet. |
Scratch that, I found it. It says more than one game per day, but it doesn’t say on more than one team. Confusing. So are clubs really having a player play two games in one day on two different club teams (ie 2nd and 3rd teams)? |
