Curious - how do you know this? Is this reflected on the NCSL web site yet?

Yes look at the Refs cheat sheet page.

NP. Was this the rule last year? I can’t find it anywhere. Our club followed the one team per day rule.

The NCSL rules still show one team per day (page 14), and I can’t find a referee cheat sheet.

Look at the referee tab. The cheat sheet fall 2021. This was allowed due to covid rosters having low numbers of players . They decided to carry it over for this season as well.

Scratch that, I found it. It says more than one game per day, but it doesn’t say on more than one team. Confusing.

So are clubs really having a player play two games in one day on two different club teams (ie 2nd and 3rd teams)?

There are clubs who register the same teams in multiple leagues

Yes, of course, that is what the rule permits, in order to make sure teams can have a sufficient roster. My son is on his club's third level team, on a few occasions last year he played one game with his own team, and one with the team above, in a day. The reason he was asked to do so was that otherwise, the team about would have had zero subs, because some of their own players could not go to the game.

Sorry, the exception to the rule.
