APS - Timing of Extended Day Notice?

Hi, the period to register for the APS extended day lottery for new families closed yesterday. Does anyone know when we should expect to learn the results? Apologies if I missed this somewhere obvious!

I think you should probably hear in a few weeks -- previously it would be on the order of a month to hear after enrolling. Not sure if its different this year since they tiered the registration.

Only a few schools ever have waitlists for extended day -- ASFS (which probably means Innovation will have one this year as well), McKinley, Glebe, Fleet, and a few of the south arlington schools. Unless you school is extremely over crowded, they end up letting in everyone who registered in time, and if not you'll usually get a spot by winter break. You can look and see if other after school centers like the Y are offering anything this year. Some people may also be scared off because of COVID, extended day always has outbreaks of stomach bugs and strep every year regardless.

Oh my goodness, I'm glad for this reality check, I was thinking today or tomorrow! My school is one that usually has a waitlist (at least according the the extended day website), so I'm hoping we got in so that I don't have to figure out an alternative.

For returning families, the window closed June 8th, and I got the overall confirmation email on June 18th. I don't know if the new families results will also take 10 days, but for comparison's sake that is what it took for us. And then a day or two later I got a separate email confirming the exact session (before care and after care get separate emails).

We just switched schools and it’s our first year of extended day. Hoping I filled that sucker out correctly and the bee registration went through

I heard about 2 weeks of application for returning families. I know you did the new family application but posted hoping the insight would be helpful.

You can see if you school has a waitlist on the extended day website. If there’s no waitlist, I wouldn’t worry.

Not to be daft…but I can’t seem to navigate to any wait list for any school. What tab or item do I need to click to see that info?
