I know the judge is tired of these people |
He’s known about this since Valentine’s Day. Wow! |
Also this has got to be tree as the source!!!! I don't see any of the laywers speaking and I definitely don't see Travis calling. |
Or potentially Taylor’s dad Scott Swift. He can get pretty pissed about things impacting her. |
There is no way it is Tree or Scott Swift. I think there's a good chance it's a tabloid journalist with sources and that some or all of this is twisted or exaggerated. |
I bet it was something like "Blake needs support right now. It would be most helpful if Taylor publicly says something which will allow our client to try and limit future discovery requests that could potentially uncover many of your client's personal messages." Remember he's a lawyer so he's most likely not going to flat out threaten them. Though I most certainly take the above as a threat. |
Scott's kind of a pyscho but I don't think he'll do this without speaking to Taylor or tree first. I don't see this being a tabloid journalist either since Freedman is willingly to give up the source name. It may not be anyone close to her family/friends/team and be one of the lawyers assistant. |
No way is BF submitting an affidavit under oath based on a tabloid journalist saying he/she knows these specific details. |
I’m sure either Scott or Tree would never share info without Taylor’s tacit approval. But this is way too specific to be a tabloid journalist |
I don’t follow. Freedman’s source was a tabloid journalist? How does that make sense? |
I am guessing there's no point really in theorizing who it is because in the end Taylor must have approved for them to reach out to Freedman. 13 Management is her company and are Venable's client as well. I assume it's someone from there. That way it's not someone who has a close personal relationship with Taylor like a family member but is close enough to Taylor and her lawyer's team. |
I would not take the above as a threat, personally. It's also substantially different from what is alleged, as in what you are describing, Gottlieb would be referring to how Taylor's communications could out during discovery (meaning via subpoenas issued by Baldoni's team), whereas in both his letter and his affidavit, Freedman is alleging that Gottlieb was threatening that Lively's team would release messages. That's really different. You can't extort someone by telling them that someone over which you have zero control might do something damaging to them. That's just a warning. It might be said to try and persuade them to do what you are asking, but since you don't actually control the damaging behavior, it's not extortion. |
And yes, I called this earlier this morning, and no one responded. Based on the little that I’ve followed lately, I could see that the blackmail has probably been going on for a while. I never read those reconciliation articles as truth, but more like Blake’s narrative for how she wanted Taylor to move things forward. I can’t say it enough (and a few of you called me a mental case, and that I needed to step away from this). I read Blake Lively LOUD and CLEAR. I could not understand why Taylor would be hanging out with her, unless Blake was very deceptive about her machinations or TS was also of the same character. I think Blake fooled her pretty much. There is a reason why Baldoni sought out PR. She is a snake and luckily, he saved receipts. |
If the source is from Taylor or known to her and with her permission, wouldn’t Venable have known and therefore not moved to quash the original subpoena? |
I don't understand how this source can attest to what was said on a phone call between Gottlieb and Taylor's lawyer unless they are part of the legal team or are Taylor herself.
If it's not one of those people (and I think it's very unlikely to be a member of the legal team, and I seriously doubt Taylor Swift would reach out personally to Freedman with a voicemail), then it's likely to be secondhand information about the phone call. Or third or fourth hand. Even if it's someone within Taylor's inner circle or on her PR team. A lawyer communication like that is not going to have 15 people on the call. It's going to be at most, like 5 people, and they will all be lawyers, the client, or maybe a client's family member or business partner. So basically, if it's Tree or Scott, okay. If it's someone outside that tiny circle, I think this is probably a big exaggeration. |
