Work out/exercise related zits

Anonymous
Any way to control or stop them? It’s directly related to exercise and sweating. In my cleavage, down spine and along shoulders wear my sports bras sit.

I shower immediately after cooling down.

I would try a different sports bra and maybe do a little rubbing alcohol in bad spots in teh shower

Talk to your doctor. I wish I'd done this earlier.

Use a body wash with salicylic acid and see if it goes a a way. I bought some for my daughter and it drastically improved her body acne situation.

I use Clearasil 5 in 1 lotion at bedtime. Wipe after a workout with a gentle cleansing wipe.

Thanks all. I have salicylic acid wash. It’s not working.

I’ll try witch hazel and look for the lotion. If that doesn’t work, back to the dermatologist.

I use Stridex or Clearasil pads on my butt, cleavage and back after showering, it seems to help.

If you're on the East Coast, it's summer. You will get zits at the minimum, red heat rashes at the worst. It happens. For women, it's wearing sports bras at the peak of the summer heat. Wear them as little as possible here in June, July, and August. As in, only when you work out. Then you take them off.

Buy 100% cotton garments (you will find out that they can be very hard to find). Stay away from all of the polyester/rayon "my skin is living in a greenhouse environment" crap. That fabric makes your zits worse because it does not breathe. Unfortunately, it constitutes the majority of women's athleisure wear.

Watch what you wear.

Try a wool shirt. Woolx is my favorite - light weight and they don’t retain odor and washable. And soft.
