Decent Honda dealership?

Anonymous
Any recommendations for a decent Honda dealership? I had an awful financing experience last time I bought a car and am trying to avoid that (beyond the standard precautions, like coming in with a pre-approved offer).

Criswell did a nice job for us. It’s in Germantown.

We had a good experience at Criswell. Definitely shop around the price and then have them beat it (or match it) so you don’t overpay, otherwise we’ve been happy with both sales and service.

Joyce Koons in Manassas. I found the car I wanted and asked all dealerships within 50 miles to give me their best rate. JK was a solid $1K lower than anywhere out of the gate- prenegotiation. They also have 2 years of free maintenance, inspections and a concierge service included if you live within 30 miles. Some places in the end offered to match the rate but I asked for their best deal the first time. I liked the transparency. Also, my rate was well under KBB estimates.

Just be careful if buying now since there is a car shortage. If you can wait 6 months or so the market should be better for buyers.

Chantilly. I negotiated online. Came in to ready car and signed papers. Was out in 30 min. Paid cash though so no finance papers.

I had a very positive experience in Bowie. They salesperson's name is Ifiok. I remember because he set up my phone to connect with the car, and asked if he could put his number in. He periodically texts to see if all is well. Nice guy. I paid with a check, though, so I can't speak to the financing side.

Ditto. Negotiated everything online as well as financing. Took a little longer than 30 minutes though. Maybe an hour.

Was this awhile ago? I can't find dealers who will negotiate online now. They just want me to call/come in.

I cried at that dealership, but it was the buying side.
