From what I can tell the Buda house is super cool. Yeah, it's big but it doesn't seem too big for 1 person with a lot of kids coming and going and also a big sassy guy from nashville who needs his space, if rumors are to be believed. I think they got a great deal on the property from the show and if she still has financing on it I am sure the interest rate is low. A has been minor celebrity with not a lot of earning power could do far worse than the Buda house. I say she needs to hold onto that with dear life. |
Jen strikes me as a parent who can't say no to any of her kids (but on IG the lady doth protest too much) and I know she SHOULD hang on to it, and probably got a sweet refi rate, but can she stay there, with other revenue drying up? While Jen has some reliable income from the podcast and shilling, I bet her expenses are a lot. |
At one time Jen had a lake house too. And she's got a "team". I bet her overhead is pretty steep. Her income used to be speaking tours, book sales, merch, appearances, TV shows and media gigs, the book club, and podcasting. Recently, it's been the book club and podcasting and the occasional Sherri Show 5 minute walk-on. Hardly the stuff of a big money lifestyle. Isn't she writing a book, though, for Simon and Shuster? There's an advance I bet she got for that. That will help. |
I think the podcast and the book club might still be OK money makers for her. I'm sure she gets decent lump sum payments from her brand partners like Able in addition to affiliate commissions.
I wondered if she would move when she & Tyler first got together but it seems like they are not together. She seems like she's living less lavishly. There hasn't been as much travel lately. I never bought that she had to constantly jet off to nashviile & NYC "for work" when so much business can be done digitally nowadays and it seemed like excuses to do things w her ride or dies or Tyler but that seems like its slowed down. Even me camp seemed a little dialed down this year |
MeCamp was way dialed back this year. It was short and the place she stayed in looked like a boys college rental. Not a lot of adventures from the looks of it and no big sass. |
Anyone that needs to make their 50th birthday a cash grab with a bunch of total strangers is not doing well financially. |

Big sis is using the vampire filter again |
Sass must have a hook-up with a T shirt printer because here come more political shirts!
I wonder if he is writing another book? |
Wasn't her first MeCamp like almost a month long? Good night. And now a birthday cruise with total strangers. |
Jen needs to partner with Harry and Megan. |
She may have a virtual assistant from India or the Philippines, and some gal pops up in her sm from time to time. Totally pretentious when people talk about contacting "Amanda" or "a member of my team"- gag. Doesn't Tyler claim to have a team, too? Sarah Bessey called her a beloved in the LC long goodbye post. These people deserve each other. Who talks like that to their friends? |
I'm not 100 percent sure of how exactly this works but it's called "print on demand" where the products are printed when they're ordered so whoever comes up with these shirt ideas doesn't have to invest in inventory. The ones he usually wears - Theater Nerd With Pride - look cheap and ill-fitting but it's all about identity politics versus buying something that fits and wears well and actually supports a maker or small biz person. He strikes me as more performative than Jen, which is really saying something. All of her white lady friends up in his comments is ick |
Jen has come full circle.
She’s now a civilian again, like all of us. |
She should definitely keep the buda house. Surely she can afford annual taxes even with minimal cash flow. It’s only around 2000 square feet and less than an acre. Very reasonable. Even with her various updates she probably doesn’t owe much or anything on it by now. They’ve been there so long and it’s not pricey. I’m in real estate. It’s her best asset, and I include her books as a whole published collection when I say that. |
