| We're getting close to transfer date and because it's a natural cycle transfer, the dates are a little bit up in the air. I'm thinking about taking a couple of days off around the transfer date so I can rest up and be a little more in the moment rather than trying to manage work and a bunch of other things. Did ya'll take time off? Any recommendations? |
| I just relaxed for the rest of the day and went back to regular life the next day, just avoiding heavy exercise. |
I took the rest of the day off and then teleworked for a day or two. Basically lay around a lot watching TV and relaxing. "Couch princess"

| I don’t think you need much time off. I worked the day before, took that morning off, then worked home from in the afternoon (I would have taken the entire day, but I had a few crucial meetings). DH handled our 3yo in the evening so I could rest a bit. I was back to my usual schedule the following day. Successful pregnancy |

I had been through a lot of failures and setbacks before my last transfer, so I took some time to feel like I'd done everything I could.
Pre-transfer, I just focused on sleep, healthy eating and staying low-stress which for me is unplugging from work, going for walks, reading outside, having lunch outside and listening to podcasts. I also got acupuncture pre-transfer which I have no idea if it helped, but it's relaxing for me. Post-transfer, I did a mix of couch time watching TV and movies and leisurely walks. The key for me was unplugging from work. Finally had a successful transfer and pregnancy. I'm not sure any of this made a difference, but I do look back fondly on this time and was super-chill by the time I got to the transfer, despite a lot of IVF anxiety prior. |
