I’m obsessed with my 2 year old

Anonymous
Had her late in life after several years of trying, so part of the obsession is knowing she’s my last. I just love her so much. I find myself staring at her in adoration all the time, I love to snuggle with her and kiss her little toes. She’s just so sweet and innocent. I want her to stay this size forever.

Crazy much?

While that is sweet and congratulations on your one and only, I hope you don’t consistently share these thoughts out loud.

A bit. Don't resist or regret her growing up, as you might as well try to keep the tide from coming in. Be excited about her growing up.

I get it OP, both DH and I are head over heels for our only too. He's a few years older than yours and it just keeps getting better.

A bit crazy but understandable, and very sweet. She's lucky to have you! Enjoy this time, OP.

2 year olds are so underrated. I felt like this about my DS when he was 2. I posted something around that time about wanting to eat him up!

So relate, OP! Love your post, it's refreshing.

I'm always saying I want to freeze them in time. But if I could, I would.never have let them grow past 4mo and I'd have missed out on all the adorable things toddlers say, lol.

NP. I remember this post, or at least one like it, and I actually think about it often. Mine just turned two and I feel the same way. It is so fun watching her develop a personality and being able to have conversations with her. Really, really loving this age.

Every year is special but if I could rewind time I would go back to 2yrs old and enjoy my kids at that age even more. Years later I remember the hair, clothes, exploring, learning so much from that age.

My second dd is nearly 2 and awesome. This age is all about becoming a little more independent and character coming out. I can watch her put on and take off shoes all day and she helps set and clear the table (unlike her 5 year old sister). They are happy to be rewarded with cheers and claps and a cookie is the height of awesome for them.
