Weird things Happen when tragic things happen to families. It’s never fullly predictable what that weird thing is gonna be, but sometimes, it’s this. Seven kids is not normal.
I wouldn't put them in either category. He's got child support to his first wife's kids, 5 kids under 7 with his new wife (who doesn't work), and ski income from competitions only half the year. They've had to move several times and its always to a less expensive property.
He sold his house in Coto de Carza for $4.2M in 2016 - a $200K loss since he paid $4.4M for it in 2013. He was renting a $2.4M house in 2018 when his daughter drowned next door, he left and the owners sold that house in 2019.
He then moved to Spanish Forks, Montana where he essentially was hired as the athletic director for a ski lodge. Comes with free housing and with 6 kids...you go where the housing is free.
