Remember reading this at the time. It's like no one cares. |
Everything, everything in this administration is rotten. |
|
Fake news. It's totally rigged.
I've got billions, Many billions. I'm, like, really rich. OK? But I can't show you my tax returns to prove it, Because I'm under "audit." OK? Just so you understand. |

Jay Pritzker is in similar business, and has 5m taxable income last year.

Thank you. I’m the small biz PP, revenue $3 million in 2019. I don’t deduct clothing, haircuts, family members I talk to (omg) etc. etc. And, not because I’m a bad biz person...because a) I don’t want to break the law b) I’m not a grifter. But, here’s the thing: at $3 mill revenue I’m not susceptible to blackmail by foreign interests. Trump is a liar, a cheat, a grifter and I’m guessing beholden to a lot of foreign interests. Trumpers: Right, so let’s re-elect him! |
swear to god! I'm ready to hang these a-holes from the lamp post like yesterday. If this actually exposes how screwed up the tax code is & leads to reform it just might be worth the insanity of the past 4 years. even more vomit inducing is that these are the very same people who advocate the boot straps mentality- Sure the rest of america could pull itself up from the bootstraps if we paid 21% in income tax like you grifters. |
Wow. Quite a violent reaction there. |

Trump’s 15 Golf Resorts Have Lost More Than $315.6 Million. Is That Par for the Course?
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/09/trump-taxes-golf-resort-losses-depreciation.html One of the biggest sinkholes contributing to Trump’s losses and debts is his numerous golf courses. According to his tax filings, the president has lost more than $315.6 million total since 2000 from his 15 golf resorts in the U.S., Ireland, and Scotland. Trump spent $150 million in 2012 to purchase his largest resort, the National Doral in Miami, and lost $162.3 million on the property over the next six years. He also has a $125 million mortgage due on it in the next three years. He lost an additional $63.6 million on his three golf courses on the British Isles. |

DP To be fair, it's a pretty flagrant injustice. I agree that the "bootstrap" lectures make it absolutely vile. |
No one likes lyin’, cheatin’ amoral scum. |

Heh. “In a series of tweets on Monday morning, a day after The Times published the first part of its investigation of his tax-return data, Mr. Trump sought to refute any negative impression of his wealth, insisting that he has “very little debt compared to the value of assets,” and suggesting that he might release statements “showing all properties, assets and debts.” It is unclear what sort of statements he was referring to; the public financial disclosures he must file as president already list his assets and debts.” |
