Actually it's fairly common for cancer treatment to cause weight gain. Depends on the type of cancer & the treatment, among other things |
There were only patchesof snow on the ground the night/morning of the murder. This explains why there were no footprints. |
How would Santa or an intruder know a blanket would be in the dryer? Apparently it was freshly removed and still had static cling and items from the dryer on it or in which Christmas box and bag the package of underwear (apparently hey were a gift Patsy bought for her niece and still had wrapped?) would be found? |
He didn't know the blanket was in the dryer, he was just looking for things he needed after he decided to kill her there. Santa was obsessed with her but felt she was his angel so that is why he took the time to wrap her in a blanket. Also maybe he wanted to cover the body hoping she would not be found as quickly. He needed time to get back to his cabin. As fast as the underwear goes I don't think it was a Christmas gift. I think they had been in JB's room but not used because they were too big. I think either JB wet the bed and woke up and changed underwear herself or the killer came in and smelled the urine and that ruined his sick fantasy so he changed her. |
I'm trying to keep an open mind here and these are very interesting points. People watch one video or read one book about the case and then believe they are experts. I would love to find an objective retelling of the case, but I don't think that's possible. People who watch the Smit video are convinced an intruder did it. People who read Kolar's book are convinced the Ramseys did it. Is anyone aware of any completely factual, nonbiased books/videos? I would love to be better informed. |
Were they able to get back out of that window? |
Burke has said that Patsy never even so much as spanked him and JonBenet. She would get upset with them sometimes but never in a physical way. He doesn't seem to think that his mom's involvement would make any sense at all.
How likely is it that a woman who never raised a hand to her children would clobber her beloved little girl on the head so hard that her child's skull fractured? And then this brutal cover up? I always thought that Patsy seemed odd in her interviews at the time but if she was medicated that might be why she seemed odd to me. I'm glad that Burke is speaking out. |
I thought the TV show left so many questions unanswered, so here is a link that I liked:

Did anyone see the creepy John Mark Karr guy interviewed last night on ID? He's just so gross and creepy, maybe he really was involved with someone else as he says |
I think the underwear was bought on a recent trip to New York at Bloomingdales for her cousin. But later at home JB had asked her mom if she could keep it. I can see Patsy saying sure and JB later wanting to be a "big girl" and putting them on herself. Maybe JB put them on that day. Most parents would not know what underwear their kids were wearing if the kids are dressing themselves. Underwear from Bloomingdales used to be kind of a big thing or trend. |
OMG, as mental as they come! That whole show was informative, but still so many questions. I came away thinking the partner of the young guy in the junkyard (whoever he may be) has the answer. But then the DNA issue sounds like no one could be ruled in or out. |
O.k. has this story about Charles Kurault talking to McReynolds about filming him as Santa ever been confirmed or debunked? If McReynolds truly thought that "On the Road" might be filming him I can see why he would have asked Patsy to throw the party and I can see why an attention lover like Patsy would have been thrilled to have had a film crew in her home. But the film crew never came so either McReynolds made this up or they were stood up by Charles Kurault. I would love to know what exactly happened with that. At any rate, Patsy probably felt a little disappointed by the crew not showing up. |
On one of the videos she said she put on new underwear and grabbed the clothes from the night before (black velvet pants & red sweater). The interviewer said that was weird and she laughed and said she did it all of the time.
I think the Boulder police saw the Ramsey's differences as signs of guilt. Too cordial, too vain, too rich, etc -> guilty. |
None of what you said is true. The area in the back did not have snow. Grown men were shown to be able to climb through the window. The handwriting did not match Patsy's or anyone. It would be hard to match disguised writing. The bonus would have been on his paycheck stub. |
I don't think they tried. Even if they could not, who is to say that the intruder didn't slip out one of the doors inside. They didn't have an alarm. By the time the PD arrived everything was contaminated, no way to tell which door was unlocked, they just looked for signs of forced entry--- completely missing an open and broken window. |
