Syracuse - Newhouse/Maxwell School of Public Policy with scholarship of 50% off tuition
Or Northeastern NUin (first semester abroad) |
Syracuse - take the money |
Kenyon is more rural. We personally liked Denison more for a few reasons but location was a big one. |
Completely different system, though. |
Syracuse. Happy kids and Newhouse is very well-regarded. Congrats on that major scholarship! |

Boy interested in business/economics/environment; grew up overseas (very social & very adaptable); acceptances all full-pay:
- Michigan (Letters & Arts College - would have to take shot at Ross end freshman year) - UCLA (Environmental Studies) - Northeastern (Kim/Finance) - Claremont McKenna - U. Toronto (St. George) |
| Michigan or ucla. Claremont if he wants a smaller school. |
| Dickinson or Denison? Denison would cost about 8k more per year. Denison is nice and is more selective, but is it worth it over Dickinson? |
I'd vote Morehouse, but if CS is the major, maybe it's NCA&T |
Did your DC have a preference? If not, it just depends on how meaningful $8K is. I know very happy kids at Dickinson -- well-rounded! |
Yes, Syracuse! That's a good deal! |

UMD
W&M Georgetown Villanova Prefers smaller school, but majoring in Business |
Proud Syracuse alum here! My vote is Syracuse. Had an AMAZING 4 years (socially/academically/loved the campus, school spirit...) Newhouse/Maxwell is very highly regarded!! |
Plus 100 |
Thank you this is helpful. We will cross-referencing with ABET accreditation! |
