I found an old thread that crocs are an issue with floors and was wondering as of kids returning to school this Fall/Hybrid currently - what slippers are you using?

They change into “slippers” (really just soft soles shoes) for the classroom. Like PP said, IME most kids wear Toms or similar.

As part of the transition to coming into the classroom a lot of Montessori classes ask younger kids to change into slippers. These are just slip-on shoes (because most/all of the PK3/PK4/K contingent can't yet reliably tie their own shoes and the Montessori model is set up to meet the kids where they are so that they can do things independently) to help signify to the kids that they are entering the classroom environment. Any slip-on shoes work. In the past we've done Toms, Native, or soft-soled shoes from Target.

It also helps keep the classroom clean from outside shoes (especially after a muddy playground romp).

Our lower el daughter wears Crocs and no one has ever complained. I know Toms are popular as well as Natives.

My primary son wears these right now - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084PC8BXR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I just use whatever inexpensive slip on shoes I can find.

Another vote for Foamtreads. I get them on Amazon or Zappos.

"As part of the transition to coming into the classroom a lot of Montessori classes ask younger kids to change into slippers."

Our Montessori Elementary students change to indoor shoes, also. Keeps the floors cleaner since some work is done on the floor as well as helps create a work/play mindset.
