| Anyone have experience moving frozen embryos from one clinic to another, especially out of state? It look like we’ll have to pick a 3rd party so looking for advice on company and some idea on pricing. |
| I used Fertility Couriers out of NY last year to move my embryos from Manhattan to DC. It cost about $1400 to have someone drive them directly (like an Uber for embryos, haha) but it was about half that to fly them if I remember correctly. |
| I can't remember what company we used back in 2018. It was only from Rockville to DC so not far but I didn't want to worry about screwing it up. It was a couple hundred dollars (maybe $700, which is obviously more than a couple hundred) for someone to drive 40 min. I tried looking to see if I have the companies contact info saved but I can't find it. |
I found it! I was transferring embryo's from SGF to GW so SGF gave me these two companies: Cryoport (949-470-2305) and Xytex (800-277-3210). SGF charged $350 for the transfer, which was separate from whatever these companies charged. We went with Xytex and looking at my CC statement it was $1460 for them to transport a frozen embryo. Yeesh. |

After looking into some of the transport companies, I drove mine myself. But they weren't going very far.
Most stressful drive of my life, but I also felt a lot better about doing it myself than handing off to a service. |
| What doctor are you using that will transfer these frozen embryos that were made at another clinic? I’m in the same boat right now and trying to figure out what to do. |
