Family friendly benefits like backup care, good insurance options and flexible hours, etc...

| Capital one |
| With the exception of backup care, the federal government. |
Isn't Capital One headquartered in those towers with open office plans on every floor? You're trading great 'balance' for a miserable work environment. |
| JHUAPL. Not exactly DC though |
Speaking of Capital One. Freddie Mac has come up in my search, is Capital One better? Worse? Same? |
| It does not do flexible hours but has great benefits and decent work life balance - Navy Federal Credit Union. |
Something I would point out if you’re house buying - access to their mortgage loans with great rates |
I heard they were going to offer some flexibility after the pandemic. |
| tenured professor at GW or Georgetown. |
Except you arent? You can work from home as much as you like at cof. |
I work for DOJ and have back up care. But long hours and lots of travel. |
Not really |
Sure you can. You just have to know how to work the system. Ive been basically 80% WFH for the last decade. Sr Director in card. My primary counterpart in legal leaves at 3pm everyday for “kid stuff” and is off from 3 to 6pm. My counterpart in ops who is a VP works from home 3 days a week. If your division is crappy about it, move to another. Plenty of places where it’s totally fine. |
| My independent fed agency - tons of non-supervisory 15 positions, back-up care, telework, part time options, and generally reasonable hours. |
