D.C. and Virginia are not paying out unemployment to residents

Ever since the 2021 version CARES Act passed they’ve been stalling for a lot of families who need on-time payments. It’s so bad in VA there’s a class-action lawsuit. How is this legal?

VA is batshit insane. People are waiting MONTHS to the bare minimum (UI tops out at $378/week before the extra federal benefits).

Aren't most states starting to cut off benefits? You can't pay people to stay home and then expect your economy to bounce back. Maryland is cutting off benefits too.

At some point people have to go back to work.
