What happened to HPSC Germantown City 03 boys?

I think they are 5th in MD for u18! My son's team was supposed to play them in EDP. I saw on the EDP site they now have forfeited all 11 games. They had played some, but now all games are entered as 0-1 forfeits. Weird.

Their younger teams have forfeited all games too. And MD state cup as well.

Don't know this club but how do you cheat in a state cup? Like players that are older or not allowed?

the roster freezes after the first game. coulda been trying to sneak in an over-aged player, or pretend one kid was someone else.

Yes, if what I heard is correct they were caught playing older players in a younger age group. I'm not sure if they "won" the game and then were forfeited, or caught prior to game start. Either way, they apparently had their player cards invalidated by MSYSA so EDP can't let them play. This led to the entire club getting kicked out. Sucks for any of the kids/parents who didn't know (if any didn't know) as they have to try find new teams mid-season.

Our boys played this team in a Labor Day tourney last year. One of our dads was filming. You can clearly see 4 players show up at halftime to their sideline. They were losing 0-1 at half. Our guys still won by that score line but it was certainly interesting to see extra players show up and not be checked in.

Yeah my kids team played them a couple of years ago and they did the same. Had bigger (presumably older) kids wait in the car or somewhere nearby until after the check in then move to the sideline. Great life lessons, coach.

In that case some teams playing in top leagues are probably cheating. I see players playing for U20s same player plays for U14. How’s that possible?

08 Boys were caught falsifying players at State Cup. The cards did not match the players.

Thats what you get for cheating. I hope the many other teams from different clubs from around the area get caught too. Club soccer is not the same as AAU Basketball.

OUCH! Maybe the displaced can go strengthen some of the other ailing clubs in the area.
