You’re kinda my hero right now. |
Good question. |
|
The successful influencers in their 50s have stayed consistent - think Joanna Gaines or maybe Rachael Ray or Martha Stewart ?
I’m Harris’s demographic and will not ever ever vote for her |
| I didn't read all 648 pages, or any really; I'm just curious. Who is Jen Hatmaker, and why are you all interested in her? |
Yeah, when did this happen? Because everyone I know right now is struggling and that's including people on both sides. |
Remember in Legally Blonde when Elle got kicked out of class because she didn't realize there was an assignment? That's you, sweet buns. You're our very own Elle Woods. Read the assignment or hasta la vista. K? |
Pointing out that Rachel Ray and Joanna Gaines are in their 50s is RUDE. I'm going to go cry in my crepe erase now. |
Hmm, I guess that means I should watch Legally Blonde first. I have no clue Elle Woods is. |
|
My bad- Joanna is only 46. But she actually BUILT stuff that added value.
She and Chip basically reno'd Waco. When I tell my teenagers what happened in Waco in the 90s, they are gobsmacked. Kind of like how Brooklyn in the 70s was all about the Sweathogs but now it's the high-rent district. |
|
Jen is super jealous of Joanna Gaines.
It pains here to see Magnolia Magazines in the checkout aisle at H.E.B. The Gaines' is what the Hatmakers desperately wanted to do at HGTV with Buda, Texas but failed to given they don't have any real decorating or construction skills and they aren't naturals on camera. |
The colors are horrendous. The darker layer underneath hasn’t been popular for 20 years. She won’t even maintain her roots. Her hair is salt & pepper, then bleach blonde, then caramel. What in the world? |
| No signs of life from Tyler. |
Bless your heart, please see yourself out. |
|
But Jo has depth. So does Chip, as dorky as he is. They are not just talking heads, they have a brand and know-how that they pass along that attempts to solve people's pain points.
Rachael Ray - as much as I don't like her - puts out useful content, or at least she used to. There is a reason to follow them. Jen is just lost. There's nothing that she's an expert at that makes you want to lean in and hear what she is saying and buy the thing she is using. She had the Christian big family mom thing going on but that's imploded on a variety of fronts. |
What? The world doesn’t need another brittle, deconstructing, middle aged white ex Christian mommy blogger now progressive influencer who follows and dutifully supports all the current things? |
