| DD is not a fan of midriffs or super skimpy tops. Is there a place we can find trendy but modest clothes? |
|
H&M, Gap Teen, Abercrombie. We've had some luck in the Target teen section (art class or Wild Fable).
NOT shein! OMG I Can't believe I fell for that place. Awful quality. |
|
Lands End, Gap, Eddie Bauer, LL Bean
Thankfully we have a school uniform and DC are dressed in sportswear most other times. |
| Our DD has had success at Kohl's |
| Not cheap, but Madewell. |
| J Crew |
| Interested in this as well, but add-teen is very very slim. 00 from JCrew are too big. Anyone know of stores/brands that run small or have truly tiny sizes? |
As a grown ass adult who shops at every store mentioned here honestly I don’t know how you can avoid staying at kids shops. None of these places have sizes smaller than JCrew. |
| My kid still likes the usual teen spots like Romwe but just tends towards sweats and big tees |
| Uniqlo. |
Problem is, she’s too tall for kids sizes that are slim enough. Size 14 is too wide, size 10/12 too short. Can get away with shorts, but even dresses are proportioned wrong - waist too high, etc. at least the weather is getting warm and she can just live in shorts and tshirts for a while. |
American eagle has very small sizes, at least in jeans they do And I think aeropastel too |
| My DD is super sporty and conservative and has great luck at Dick’s Sports! She just bought joggers (she refuses to wear Spandex leggings) and tees. Large selection. |
I just posted about Dick’s. My DD has had good luck with XS sizes. I can tell you that Columbia brand pants are cut very narrow and run small. The elastic waist joggers have at least gotten DD out of shorts, just in time for summer :lol |
| My teen shops mostly second hand. Prepandemic places like Unique during the pandemic, she's gotten some great stuff from thredup. |
