I've never had cleaners come to my house. Ever. I've never even really considered it. I'm realizing that (in this area at least) this might be unusual.
My questions for you: Do you have cleaners? How frequently do they come? What do they do? How much do you pay? |
| Yes, I clean my own house. No cleaners. Small house and we can afford it but I'd rather spend the money on other things and I don't like people cleaning up after me. |
| I've had cleaners once a week for about 15 years. I have three kids and work part-time. I pay $100 per week. They do scrubbing of bathrooms, vacuuming and mopping of floors and laundry. They also change bed linens. And they clean the kitchen for that day. |

We did before COVID.
Once a week. Mopping, dusting, bathrooms, kitchen. We tidy beforehand. 3000 sq ft house, 3bd 4ba, low COL city. $130. Now we clean ourselves. |
|
Once every 3 weeks. 4 br/ 2 1/2 bath house, $100.
They vacuumed, dust, clean bathrooms and kitchen. They sometimes miss the deep cleaning type stuff, or, for example, the dust under the tv stand. But becuase they do the main surfaces I don't mid doing this either nooks and crannies when I notice they need attention. |
| No cleaners. |
| Before covid, we had cleaners every two weeks. $120 for three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2200sqft. Now we do it ourselves and I’m about sick of it. We both work full time so spending 4hrs on a weekend cleaning really kinda sucks. |

Yes
Weekly Deep clean kitchen & bathrooms and vacuum/mop floors $350 (5br, 5 bath) This is my most indulgent expense and it's worth every penny. I clean every day (organize, dishes, laundry, wipe counters) but I don't have time to do the rest. (FT job, kids, etc) |

Yes
Every Friday Clean bathrooms, kitchen, vacuum whole house, mop , dust, change sheets 150 |

| Nope I have cleaners twice a month for $130-$170 for 4500- 5000 square feet. I don’t always get the guest room cleaned. |
|
Yes, we have cleaners. They come monthly, we pay $165 for our 3 bedroom 3 bath 2000 sq ft condo.
They vacuum, mop all hardwood floors, dust, clean the kitchen (counters, stove, microwave, sink, etc), bathrooms (toilet, floors, sink, shower, mirrors). Basically a full clean. If I notice something building up in a weird spot, I’ll leave a note (“the inside of this lamp is getting dusty, can you clean it?”) and they take care of it. It’s the best line item in my budget. Worth every penny. Beyond them, we don’t do much cleaning - clean up after dinner, which includes spot cleaning counters and floors, but that’s it. |
| Nope, I hire cleaners just like everyone else in this area. |
| Yes every two weeks. I vacuum the main floor every other day still because we have dogs that leave hair........we also both work and I’d rather spend time with my kid than cleaning my bathrooms. We pay $120 cash. She changes 2 beds, dusts ,vacumms and swiffers 2 bedrooms, tidies and cleans floor in playroom, fully cleans 2 full baths and 1 half bath, dusts, vacuums, main level and folds couch blankets, Does everything in the kitchen except clean out the fridge. She is also fine with our two loose dogs which is a huge plus. A lot of people cleaners want dogs crated or shut away. |

Yes
Every other week $200 for 4 bedroom, 4000 sqft house Deep clean bathrooms, kitchen, change linens, some laundry, vacuum, mop etc... I also clean - tidying up everyday, wiping down kitchen nightly, vacuum sections of the house 2-3 times a week, especially kitchen and entryway. The cleaner does things that would take hours though like move all furniture in a room- broom, mop, vacuum, then dust baseboards of that room. That kind of stuff takes hours and is not the same thing as superficial cleaning, fluffing pillows, pitting everything in its place, organizing etc... |
